Welcome to our blog!

Adam and Jessica are excited to share our news with friends and family members far away. We'll do our best to update you at least weekly. As the pregnancy progresses, we'll give you "pictures" of the baby and pictures of Jessica.

How we got here:
We found out Jessica was pregnant on February 23, 2012. Because it was so early, we kept the news to ourselves for a little while. Since we had been seeing a reproductive specialist, we were fortunate enough to get an early OB ultrasound on March 9 at 6weeks. You couldn't discern much on the screen, but we saw the gestational sac and a tiny flicker of a heartbeat. (Hint: The baby is the little white blob on the lower-left side of the dark spot.)

So far, Jessica's symptoms have been manageable. She can't eat as much in a sitting as she has before and needs to eat every 2-2.5 waking hours. She's frequently tired. She also gets random bouts with nausea and seems to get carsick at the drop of a hat. Fortunately, she's only been nauseated so far...we'll see how long that lasts.
