10 weeks to go and a 3D/4D ultrasound!

I hit 30 weeks on Friday and it really seems like time is flying by now. This mean as I write this, I have 9 weeks and change until this baby is technically due...and full-term is even closer (37 weeks)! We still need to order a crib and paint the nursery, but we have supplies to hold us over - a bassinet and pack n' play with bassinet attachment. Fortunately, we also have our carseat, so we'll be able to bring Zyggie home.

Here are the latest pictures of me.

And here are the pictures from our 3D/4D ultrasound on Friday. It was so neat to see how much detail they can get now. The weird dreadlock thing is the baby's umbilical cord...it's right by the baby's face in practically every picture. It also contributes to some image distortion in a few of the pictures. I know there are a lot of pictures, but we have even more than this. And besides, how's a mom to choose just one? Let the bragging begin!

We'll see if we can upload the 4D video of the whole thing to YouTube. I understand there's an option to make viewing private. On the off-hand chance that my name will display in the video just like in these images, I don't think I want it all over YouTube.

Registry Information

We've had several people ask us for information about where we're registered. Well, we've finally finished it up. Here they are, ladies and gentlemen:
Our registries may look a little sparse. As you remember, we got a smokin' hot deal on second-hand baby gear from our friends, Tiffani and Josh. We've accounted for these items in creating our registries. As a result, the registries may look incomplete, but we assure you we are well-prepared for Zyggie's arrival!

3rd trimester!

Well, I've officially reached 3rd trimester. Some sources say it's 27 weeks, while others say 28 weeks. Regardless, we're getting much closer and still have so much left to do.

We're finalizing our registries and will post that information later this week. We just have one last thing to finalize and then we're ready. Our 3D ultrasound (known as a "fun scan") is on the 24th and we're very excited to get a glimpse into what Zyggie looks like. We'll have newborn pictures of me and of Adam to do a comparison. :)

In addition, our childbirth class is coming up in September and then the breastfeeding class in October. Yes, we're cutting it a little close in October, but I can't make the September class due to a business trip. Worst case scenario, the hospital has lactation consultants on staff.

On Friday, I had my 28 week check up and had the pleasure of taking the glucose tolerance test. This tests my body's reactions to sugar to see whether I may have developed gestational diabetes. I won't know the results until Monday, but I'm crossing my fingers that I passed with flying colors. If I failed this test, then I have a more conclusive 3-hour test to undergo. As of 28 weeks, I'm up 13.8 pounds, so I think I'm doing very well in the weight-gain department. I know the pounds will start piling on now, but I'm trying to keep the gain healthy. I'm not depriving myself, but I'm trying to remember that I still have to *carry* the weight I gain. I don't want to put too much strain on my body.

Finally, here is my 28 week/3rd trimester picture:
Here is 27 weeks:
